Summer safety is key to enjoying the warm weather! ☀️
Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, especially during outdoor fun. Always supervise kids when swimming and follow water safety guidelines.
Have a fun and safe summer! #SummerSafety

Whitebead first grade students from Mrs. Shippey’s and Mrs. Prieto’s classes were celebrated today in a special way as they walked the red carpet to honor their incredible accomplishment of becoming published authors. Students began their exciting day by searching the hallways for their names displayed on Hollywood stars, making them feel like true celebrities. Once they arrived in their classrooms, they continued the celebration by walking the red carpet while classmates and teachers cheered them on.
The young authors proudly shared their favorite moments from the publishing process and reflected on what it felt like to become real authors at such a young age. The celebration concluded with a fun classroom party to recognize all of their hard work, creativity, and dedication.
Mrs. Shippey’s class proudly published their book titled Where Will We Be in 20 Years? and Mrs. Prieto’s class published Dream Big Go Far. Today was a memorable celebration of imagination, learning, and the power of student writing at Whitebead.
