We are excited to see everyone tomorrow night for a fun community event!

After finishing the novel in the fall, our 8th graders had the most amazing opportunity to visit the The Outsiders Museum in Tulsa. Students stepped into an immersive experience that brought the book’s themes, characters, and historical setting to life.
A huge THANK YOU to our PTO for generously sponsoring museum admission and lunch--this memorable trip wouldn’t have been possible without your support!

Mrs. Walker visited Mrs. Hays’ Kindergarten class and brought science to life in the best way! 🪱
Students had a blast learning about living and nonliving things through a hands-on experiment with real earthworms and gummy worms. They observed, compared, and asked such thoughtful questions while discovering what makes something living.
It was engaging, a little wiggly, and a whole lot of fun. Thank you, Mrs. Walker, for such a memorable lesson for our kinders!

We had lots of great help setting up for the Cheer Valentine’s dance tonight! Starts at 5 tomorrow. Lots of glow items, $1 snacks, and drinks available to purchase (Cash Only). Mrs. Briscoe's Pre-K class had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school! We’re so proud of all they’ve learned and the big growth we’ve seen in just 100 days! 🎉

First Grade celebrated their 101st of School with students dressing up like the 101 Dalmatians. Students had a great start to their day by entering in through the new classroom "doggie" doors, followed by writing what they would like to have 101 items of and also counting out 101 of some of their favorite things! 🐾

Save the Date!! Get ready to glow, dance, and celebrate Valentine’s Day—cheer style!

Come join us tomorrow night as we honor our 8th grade students and their families! Student Council will be doing a fundraiser for one of our janitors, Maribel Lira. She has been diagnosed with cancer and had surgery recently. We are raising money for her and her family during this time of need. During the 8th Grade Night they will be selling tickets for a chance to win in a shooting competition. Tickets will be sold at the game. Donations are also welcome for those that want to help but not compete. Come out and support our Whitebead community!!

Protect your mouth from injury to maintain oral health! 🦷
Be careful with hard foods that can chip teeth, and never use your teeth as tools. Wear a mouthguard during sports to prevent injuries and keep up with regular dental check-ups to catch potential issues early. Stay safe and smile bright! #OralHealth #HealthySchoolsOK

🎤🦆 A Special Visit from Mr. Nick the Storyteller!
Whitebead students and staff recently enjoyed a wonderful visit from Mr. Nick the Storyteller, who shared the fascinating story of Clarence Nash, the original voice of Donald Duck, who was from Watonga, Oklahoma.
A big thank you to Mrs. Briscoe for writing the grant that made this visit possible, and to the Pauls Valley Foundation for Academic Excellence for providing the grant support that brought this experience to our school.
We appreciate opportunities like this that bring learning to life for our students!

Whitebead will be in school tomorrow Friday January 30th. If you live in an area where it is still too dangerous to drive just call the office after 8am and let us know. It will be an excused absence.
We know you miss us, we really miss you too! However, we still have a good part of our district we don't feel is safe to travel on especially in the morning. We will be out Thursday January 29th.
Due to the ongoing impact of the winter storm Whitebead Schools will be closed Wednesday January 28th. We want to say thank you to our maintenance and transportation staff for working to ensure the safety of everyone.

Missoula will not be having auditions tonight and will be reschedule. Date and time to come later.
