5th grade fun fact National Teddy Bear Day, September 9, 2025. The history of National Teddy Bear day dates back to 1902. U. S. President Theodore Roosevelt refused to kill an injured bear. Cartoonists wanted to tell the story created a small, cute bear. A toymaker manufactured a small cute bear and called it “Teddy Bear.”

Tomorrow (9/11/25) is the last day to sign up for the Little Chiefs Cheer Clinic if you would like to receive a shirt. The performance will be at the September 22nd football game.
Book Blast contributions help ensure all our students receive books. After your student earns all 10 books from the book list, additional contributions help provide more books for all our students, classrooms, and the library. Plus there’s still a chance to be entered into the Disney trip giveaway!
